The Courtenay Comox Fun Map was created by map illustrator Cam Wilson with a vision to bring visitors to Comox, Courtenay and surrounding areas to businesses that drive the local economy.
The map will be published into printed form and circulated to tourist information centres, local businesses, hotels, and airports. The Courtenay Comox fun map will be available for free.
The map will have advertising space available for any Comox Courtenay and surrounding area business or organization who would like to promote to visitors and others looking for hospitality, shopping, recreation, and services.

Eveey ad will include a QR code for FREE (optional) a map user can then scan the QR code with their phone or other device and it will link to your business's website or your business's precise location with directions on google maps. This brings users of the map directly to your specific business rather than the user doing a google search for any business of your type in the area listing all of your competition in the area as a choice. With a printed map in the users hand they will go directly to your shop, cafe, hotel or whatever hospitality business you own. This digital version comes completely free with your purchase of any ad on the printed map. Plus users of the digital map can hover over your location for a pop up card of your information and link directly to your website.

Cam's passion for travelling and his interest in exploring different locations lead him to creating illustrated maps. Other maps Cam has illustrated include Edmonton and Jasper, Alberta, Palm Springs California and others. Cam comes with 30 years in the Graphic Design/Advertising Industry working on projects with clients such as Hockey Canada, Government of Alberta, West Edmonton Mall, and others.
